چکیده

Introduction and Aim: Diabetes, a global health concern, is often compounded by nutritional perturbations. Micronutrients seem to play regulatory role in the pathogenesis progression of type 2 diabetes recent evidence implicates pivotal zinc diabetes. The study aims evaluate serum levels diabetic patients assess correlation with lipid profile ASCVD Methodology: present was carried out Department Biochemistry Medicine tertiary care centre. 30 voluntarily consenting diagnosed were recruited as cases while non participants controls. Blood samples from analysed for blood glucose, profile, Clinical Lab. Mann Whitney U test Spearman’s rank performed obtain statistical evidence. Results: Serum Zinc significantly decreased diabetics when compared healthy However, no significance observed among two groups parameters, derived ratios, AIP. did not show significant risk assessment Conclusion: are lower subjects thus indicating mechanistic pathophysiology T2DM. large cohort studies required clearly explain extent deficiency therapeutic role/effect correction

Serum Electrolytes Changes with Atherogenic Index of Plasma in Hypothyroid Diabetic (type-2) Young Males

Background: Atherogenic index of plasma, a newly emerging lipid parameter, has been employed only in a few studies of diabetics and not at all in hypothyroid type -2 diabetic young males with electrolytes imbalance. Methods: Association between diabetic hypothyroid and electrolytes with atherogenic index of plasma in 50 subjects and aged (25-45 years) matched healthy controlled were studied ret...

Pioglitazone reduces atherogenic index of plasma in patients with type 2 diabetes.

BACKGROUND Insulin resistance is often associated with increased triglyceride (TG) and decreased HDL-cholesterol (HDL-C) concentrations and increased small LDL particles. The Atherogenic Index of Plasma (AIP), defined as log(TG/HDL-C), has recently been proposed as a marker of plasma atherogenicity because it is increased in people at higher risk for coronary heart disease and is inversely corr...

Correlation between Glycated Hemoglobin, Serum Glucose and Serum Lipid Levels in Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract Objective: Diabetes mellitus is the most common metabolic disease. One of the most common problems in diabetic patients is atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease which is induced by hyperlipidemia. Impaired lipid metabolism resulting from uncontrolled hyperglycemia has been implicated in cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients. Also, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) has been rega...
